heckflippinyeah electoral reform campaign targeting federal election 2015

Got waaaay excited after reading Fair Vote Canada‘s recent announcement that

A campaign for federal PR in 2015 is our top strategic priority for the next three years. With all three federal opposition parties talking about electoral reform, and an unprecedented awareness growing among the public of what a “majority” elected on 39% of the popular vote can do, we have a historic opportunity to make proportional representation a ballot box issue.

Did you hear that? A campaign for federal PR in 2015! Is momentum really building? I don’t have my finger on the pulse of the Canadian public so I don’t know how much of this is talk and how much is real (regarding public malaise towards democracy etc.). The Greens have always talked about electoral reform (for obvious reasons). The NDP have officially supported it. And now there is talk that the Liberals want in (unconfirmed though), obviously since they are 3rd place in parliament right now.

I want to be a part of this so bad. Soooooo bad. Will I be back in Canada in 2015/in time to help make a difference?

I love campaigns/strategies/action plans.
